Terms of use
Terms for using Faultwise.
Last updated August 28, 2026. By accessing Faultwise, you agree to use it only as a general educational reference and in accordance with these terms and the separate safety disclaimer.
Educational reference only
Faultwise explains appliance error codes and conservative owner checks. It does not inspect your appliance, provide professional repair services, create a technician-client relationship, or replace the official instructions for your exact model.
Safe and lawful use
You may use the site for personal, lawful reference. You must not use it to bypass safety devices, work outside your competence, misrepresent Faultwise content as manufacturer guidance, interfere with the site, extract content at a rate that disrupts the service, or republish substantial portions as your own database or commercial product.
Intellectual property
Faultwise’s original writing, organization, interface, visual identity, and database selection are protected to the extent allowed by applicable law. Manufacturer and product names belong to their respective owners and are used only for identification. These terms do not grant rights to any third-party mark or material.
Accuracy and availability
We aim to verify indexed guides against primary sources, but codes, models, manuals, recalls, and manufacturer instructions can change. Faultwise may correct, withdraw, restrict, or update content and may change or suspend site features without guaranteeing continuous availability.
No warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, results, or compatibility with a particular appliance.
Liability
Use of the site is subject to the Safety and Legal Disclaimer. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Faultwise and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Third-party destinations
External links are provided for convenience and source verification. Faultwise does not control the destination, and a link does not create an endorsement, agency, partnership, or responsibility for the third party’s content, products, services, or practices.
Advertising and affiliate links
Advertising is not active in the initial release. If paid links or commercial relationships are introduced, they will be disclosed clearly and will not alter the site’s safety standards or manufacturer-source requirements.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as Faultwise changes. The date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means the current terms apply to later use.
